Using 3D scanning as a starting point, Akriveia are able to support customer obsolescence issues by Reverse Engineering components, either producing like for like components or by including modifications to improve reliability.

As part of the reverse engineering process Akriveia discuss expected usage with the customer, which enables a better placed decision regarding the proposed method of manufacture. Where changes to the original material or design are required Akriveia are able to provide certification against Railway Standards relating to Structural strength and Fire compliance.

Akriveia will utilise 3D Printing during the Reverse Engineering process, this may be to produce a prototype part for trial fit, and in some cases where appropriate and cost effective, to produce fully finished part.
